🏛️ The Golden Rule: Convert Before You Add!
Before you can add two fractions together, their slices must be the exact same size. Follow these three archaeological steps to unlock any fraction puzzle:
Find the Least Common Denominator (LCD):
Identify the Least Common Multiple (LCM) of the two bottom numbers.Rewrite the Fractions:
Multiply the numerator and denominator of each fraction so both share the new common denominator.Add & Simplify:
Add the top numbers (numerators) while keeping the denominator the same. Simplify the final fraction if possible!
